Title: BAD NEWS: GOOD NEWS AT FIFA 2018

Blog:

BAD news: England's 2nd team get beaten by Belgium's 2nd team in Kaliningrad.

GOOD news. England qualify for the Round of Sixteen in 2nd place.   BAD news. The Three Lions place much fancied Colombia while group winners Belgium play much less fancied Japan. Good news:England play in Moscow's Spartak Stadium while the Belgians travel all the way to Rostov on Don.

DOUBLE GOOD NEW FOR ME !!. I have a ticket for the Colombia clash on Tuesday evening AND I have finally got the print out of my FAN ID after 23 hours hasstle with the FA and much backwards and forwards  after they gave me the wrong reference number, and they ARE OFF until Tuesday due to holidays. I take the print out and present it to Russian authorities at Moscow's Domodevova DME Airport in lieu of a visa.  PHEW !!!

I found a decent priced flight on AIR MOLDOVA from London STN via ChisinauKIV to the Russian capital. My last visit to Moscow was in 1964, fifty four years ago, and then across 11 time zones to the Pacific and a three day cruise to Yokahama, Japan for the Olympic Games. I have also found an inexpensive mini hotel for 3 nights near the train station at the end of the 40 minute ride from the airport.

Hopefully England's first string are all fit and waiting to ROAR  .Eric Dier failed to control midfield and was shown how to do the job by his opposite number Moussa Dembele. We need you Jordan Henderson ! Adnan Januzaj who had a spell with Manchester United, joining at the age of 16. He broke into the Man Utd line up under David Moyes but struggled under Louis van Gael and Jose Mourino. Loan spells at Sunderland and Borussia Dortmund before joining his current club Real Sociedad. He was born in Brussels to Kosovan- Albanian parents.

News from the top brass at The World Cup is that the VAR system has been a MASSIVE success and that stadiums have been mostly full, over 95.5% and that there have been NO POSITIVE drug tests and every player has been tested at least once. A record number of penalties but only three red cards. THE VAR guys in the Moscow bunker are watching you.

Well, thats it for now. Got to get to my TV set for the exciting matches.
