The news that Queens Park Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wanted £55,000.00 a visit to speak to fictitious Far Eastern businessmen in Sinpapore beggars belief !!  The former Dutch international has the personality of a plate of grits, or porridge without milk and sugar!! If I was sitting in a comfy chair after a couple of drinks I would probably fall asleep in minutes zzzzzzzzz !  "It depends if I can be paid in Holland. If I work abroad I can be paid abroad. If I work in England I have to pay maybe 45% tax as against only 10-15%."

I remember watching him at World Cup '98 in France and for Leeds United at Elland Road. If I remember correctly he wanted always to be the top earner at the club, regardless who his team mates were. He played 23 times for Holland, scoring 9 goals and was top scorer in the EPL in 1998-99 at Leeds and was Chelsea's then record signing at £15 million in 2000. Also played as a striker for Middlesborough, Charlton Athletic and Cardiff City. He coached Royal Antwerp in Belgium before moving to Burton Albion in 2014 and a year later to QPR.

According to the powers that be at Loftus Road his contract states that he can do outside commercial work when he has days off at QPR. and owner Tony Fernandes is standing by his man....for the moment. The Daily Telegraph caught him on tape bumping up a proposed fee of £25,000.00 a pop. " Come up with a nice figure. Just try to make me happy" he said to the sting operators. The fact that they are interested in selling him players might have been a conflict of interest. In his defence, when the last meeting was held, the English transfer deadline had passed. This morning he was interviewed by CEO Les Hoos and Director of Football Les Ferdinand (both of who would be deciding who to sign).  He will evidently be on the touchline as QPR face Fulham at the weekend...maybe !

CAUGHT IN THE ACT..with his fingers on the fat brown envelope of £20 bills, totalling £5,000.00, at the Queens Hotel in City Square, Leeds was Barnsley FC's head coach Tommy Wright . He was suspended last night and sacked by the club at lunchtime today after meeting with Barsley CEO Linton Brown.. Age 50 he played for Leeds, Leicester, Middlesborough, Bradford City and  Oldham.  He was coached at Oldham, Chesterfield and ....until 12 noon Oakwell for The Tykes. He had brought fake foreign business men, plus a well known Italian agent banned by FIFA, to a series of meetings at Oakwell and elsewhere, and had broken FA rules by accepting a bribe. After handing in his club car and Puma gear he could perhaps walk 500 yards to Barnsley Interchange station and catch the hourly train to Leeds and the short bus ride to Elland Road and ask Chellino for work... if ethics don't matter !!

The third football figure caught on tape by the Telegraph Sting team was...YOU GUESSED it.. Massimo Chellino. the VERY unpopular and totally unreliable Leeds United owner, whose name spells TROUBLE. He was caught on film in a meeting at Elland Road offering to sell 20% of the club to help fake 'businessmen'  get around THIRD PARTY rules. About midnight the club made a statement that it was a 'NON STORY'.

Another person possible in VERY BIG TROUBLE is Big Sam's chief accomplice SCOTT MCGARVEY. He will face an FA probe and possibly lose his licence as an agent. The 53 year old played for the Manchester United Academy and played under Dave Sexton and Ron Atkinson at Old Trafford. He also coaches a Sunday League team in the Bury, Greater Manchester area, and a ban would include such a coaching role as well. Sam, is now holded up in his Spanish BUNG-ALOW,  a very big place actually called BIG SAM'S VILLA.  His agent, who negotiated his FA contract is MARK CURTIS, who in the past had been warned by the FA as to his future conduct when dealing with Luton Town. HE'S GOT PREVIOUS !!

Meanwhile The Football Association.( has been called " An organization in the 21st Century run Like a 19th Century one."    The Telegraph was about to provide the FA with all relevent tapes but the police has asked to see them first. Meanwhile the LMA, The League Managers Association, who have one of the worst run professional organizations in the country, ignoring their members bad behavious and leaving clubs at will, are finally acting as if they care for the game and not just their members....or are they?

The Daily Telegraph will be offering us more juicy tit bits in the next few days, including their claim that they know of 8 present or former EPL managers who have accepted 'BUNGS' or bribes, without the knowledge of their employees, and against FA rules.  Players agents, many unlicensed, are running amok.  FFF The French Federation,  have much tighter rules than in England.with their "CODE DU SPORT" rules for not only French agents but also for foreign one wanting to deal with an French club or player.
