The New York Stadium had a MILLWALL PROBLEM at the weekend. Its a new stadium for Rotherham United that I visited a year or so for an England women's international and a couple of hundred yards from the renovated Rotherham train station. Unfortunately Millwall fans have a reputation over the years.

An exciting ding dong Championship battle with the home time scoring a late winner 2-1...and then THE IDIOTS KICKED OFF.. Only a couple of hundred but a battle with fans, stewards and police. The Millwall hooligans tried to tear down barriers and invade the home 'family enclosure'. Weapons including metal bolts were thrown, and STUPIDLY. away fans were allowed to leave straight after the match and they caused havoc in the car park.

The British press has been full of headlines about Chelsea 'fans' on the Paris Metro prior to a Champions League match at Parc des Princes, chanting racism and not allowing a black commuter on board. More nasty chants on the train arriving at St. Pancras International after the match against Paris St, Germain.... and on the Tube to Wembley on Sunday anti Semitic chants prior to the League Cup Final against Tottenham Hotspur, and 8 Chelsea fans left the Euston to Manchester Piccadilly Virgin train when met by transport police at Stoke on Trent station after chanting on the way north after the Wembley final, won 2-0 by Chelsea.

Last week the league seasons in both Greece and Egypt were halted by the respective governments after violence in and around stadiums. Panathinaikos hosted cross city rivals Olympiakos in Athens in the Super League "DERBY OF THE ETERNAL ENEMIES' despite no visiting fans allowed. The Greek government suspended the season for THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON. At a later meeting of the league, representatives of both clubs started a punch up. In Cairo on February 8th, 22 Zamalek fans died after clashes with police.

Everton, the only British team left in The Europa League have been drawn against DYNAMO KIEV don't know where the away leg will be played after crowd disturbances in Kiev at the Round of 32 Second leg versus French club GUINCAMP incidents. The first leg of the Round of 16 is scheduled for Goodison Park but EUFA are due to rule in the next few days whether the return leg is in an empty statium or even in neutral Cyprus. The other big Ukrainian club, Shaktar Donetsk have to play all their matches, league and European, 600 miles away from the Donetsk Arena in Stadium Lviv, due to the troubles with Russian separatists.

KICK IT OUT has reported 184 reports of incidents between August and December 2014 at English grounds, 48 more than the same period the previous season. 117 were racist and 32 anti-Semitic abuse.

We haven't even mention trouble in RUSSIA, the supposed hosts of FIFA WORLD CUP 2018 with many racial and crowd problems in its troubled league. Zenit St. Petersburg won't even consider hiring black players after warnings from their fans. It has been rumoured the The Football Association of England has been asked to stand by as a substitute host nation if crown trouble, politics and money cause Russia to pull out.
