Most observers were suprised and shocked when Sepp Blatter opened the envelope and announced that QATAR would host the 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP....but many insiders expected it.

UEFA President Michel Platini was expected to cast his vote for USA, which did such an outstanding job in 1994, but after consulting with then French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and both getting together with Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Than in 2010 he changed his vote. A few days ago the respected bi weekly FRANCE FOOTBALL, which I always read when I visit France, published a 15 page  WATERGATE EXPOSE.

Qatar was asked to invest heavily in French sports  and since then they have purchased PARIS ST. GERMAIN and started TV channel beIN SPORT in France, and suprise..suprise.. Platini's 33 year old son Laurent Platini has been given a very well paid job with the Qatari Investment Group.

How is it that Platini Sr., who is so enraged by overspending at Chelsea, Manchester City and other EPL clubs, is strangely silent about the recent $135 million purchases of the club at Parc des Princes, which is the new home of Brand David Beckham.  Becks has stated that his $150,000 a week salary will go to a Parisian children's charity, but he will still receive massive uniform and other sponsorshing income. That is only taxed at 33% while his salary would have been taxed at 75%.

There were 4 African Executive votes up for grabs and a Qatari whistleblower Phaedra Al Majid said that $1.5 million was paid to both CAF President Issa Hayatou of Cameroons, who is already under investigation by the I.O.C. and to Jacques Anouma of Ivory Coast.

The Qataris bankrolled the 2010 CAF Congress to the tune of $1.25 million in order to have EXCLUSIVE access to the four World Cup voting members.  As a result of a London Sunday Times sting operation, one other FIFA Exec,Amos Adamu of Nigeria was suspended for four years. He tried to get $1 million paid to his son to organize a World Cup sponsors dinner to influence voting.

Argentian FA President Julio Grondona and former Brazilian boss Ricardo Teixeira are also accused of wrong doings. Grondona is still in power by Teixeira, former son in law of disgraced former FIFA President Joao Havelange, has left the country to his home in Florida.

Former FIFA media boss Guido Tognoni calls the deals 'petit mafia' business. Former NewYork Federal Attorney MICHAEL GARCIA is now the independent prosecutot hired by FIFA and has many cases on his plate, but I hope that the 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP is taken away from QATAR.  How do you air condition a whole country anyway?
